1 corned beef
1 lb carrots - either baby carrots or chopped about that size
3-4 large potatoes - cut into bite sized pieces
1 onion - quartered
1 cups water
1 cabbage - quartered
Use a large 6 quart crockpot. Put the carrots in the bottom. Place the corned beef along with all its juices in the crock. Sprinkle the spice packet over the top of the beef. Add the potatoes around the corned beef - touching the edge of the crock. Put onion on top of the corned beef. Pour in 1 cup of water. Allow to cook on low for 8 hours or high for 6.
When it is finished, remove the food and pour the remaining liquid left in the crock into a large pot. Put cabbage into the pot and add more water to cover if necessary. Boil for about 10 minutes.
